About the Program: The Perfect Step is proud to be an approved location for the Pedaling for Parkinson's program, offering specialized care and exercise for individuals with Parkinson's disease. We have received training directly from the Davis Phinney Foundation, the leading authority on Parkinson's exercise protocols. This program, designed to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life, involves a structured cycling regimen that has been shown to significantly enhance motor function and overall well-being.

Program Protocol:

  • Warm-Up: Start with a 5-minute warm-up at 60 RPMs.

  • Main Session: Continue with 40 minutes of cycling at 80 RPMs, the optimal cadence for symptom reduction.

  • Cool-Down: Finish with a 5-minute cool-down at 60 RPMs to safely lower heart rates.

Benefits:

  • Up to 35% reduction in Parkinson's symptoms.

  • Improved motor function, balance, and cognitive abilities.

  • A supportive and inclusive environment that fosters community and wellness.

Key Features:

  • Class Schedule: Classes are held three times a week in our group exercise studio. A 90-day trial is available at $10 per class.
