Spinal Cord Injury or "SCI"

What is Spinal Cord Injury?

Spinal Cord Injury is an injury to the spinal cord resulting in a change in normal motor, sensory, or autonomic function.

How can The Perfect Step help make life better?

At The Perfect Step our approach is based on stimulating and reactivating the client’s nervous system for the purpose of re-organizing the brain’s pathways. Our goal is to guide each client though the phases of recovery - starting with reactivating the nervous system, introducing load bearing exercise, and practicing independent movements under the care of a Recovery Specialist.

Meet Dave Bridgewater.

“Since starting in the TPS program I have gotten much stronger in my legs, quads, triceps, and core strength. It has given me the ability to transfer myself on my own. I feel as if I am on my way to better independence, better health and well-being, and I am achieving my goals. My short-term goal is to keep working hard on my table work and the reactivation of my nervous system. In the long term I would like to get up and walk away from my chair.”
